Which Preset is the Best Fit for You?

Ever since the early days of Chez Núñez, Jesús and I have always placed a special emphasis on photography as a powerful tool for creating a well-rounded and inviting brand. We’ve seen photography as a way to thoughtfully and uniquely present my graphic design, illustrations, and branding projects to the world, and we’ve watched as our documentation of our travels and home helped develop a larger lifestyle brand around the name Chez Núñez.

As our love for sharing about our life and brand through our photos grew, so did our editing process. We spent countless hours in search of edits that felt as true to our style as possible, fine-tuning the tiniest details of light and color, and ultimately creating tons of presets in Lightroom along the way.

By 2019, we honed in on a collection of the 7 best presets that we’d created by that time - the presets we found the most helpful in our own creative process - and then we launched them for sale in our shop!

To be honest, we didn’t know what to expect from this first launch, thinking that maybe a handful of creatives might find them as helpful as we do. But I’m thrilled to say that our minds were completely blown and since that launch day in 2019, thousands of creatives have invited Chez Núñez presets into their creative process and beautifully put them to use.

From that point on, we kept editing, continued making new presets that mirrored the evolution of Chez Núñez, and kept sharing the tools that we were using in our own process of creating our images.

As we created new presets to help ourselves save time and stay true to our brand, we offered them up with the goal of helping others do the same. We want our presets to save you time and inspire the brand that you’re cultivating with love and care.

Bundle No. 1

If you’re looking for warm, romantic, vintage vibes, then Bundle No. 1 might be the kind of collection to speak to your heart. As the original preset collection in the CN shop, it holds a special place in our hearts as the collection that we first used to establish the inviting, earthy style of our brand. When we launched Bundle No. 1, our aesthetic at the time was quite warm and cozy - with a focus on rich oranges, soft pinks, and creamy whites - and this collection reflects that. Regardless of your desire for a warm vibe, there’s versatility to be found in Bundle No. 1 with the simple adjustments of the temperature bar in Lightroom.

Bundle No. 1 is best suited for branded lifestyle images - from flat-lays to portraits to images of travel - making it a well-rounded collection of 6 color and 1 black and white presets.

Bundle No. 2

This collection of presets was designed with our love for traveling in mind. In 2019, when the world was open and travel was simple, we visited places that we’ll remember with so much fondness. Throughout those experiences, we developed a collection of presets to suit unique editing scenarios that we came across when editing all the photos shot in these destinations. This collection has a beautiful solution for editing a photo taken in the artificial light of an art gallery, the dimly lit corner of a cafe, and the bright direct sunlight on a mid-day hike through the mountains.

Bundle No. 2 is best suited for lifestyle images of travel, indoors or outdoors, in a variety of lighting scenarios. While some of the presets in this collection accommodate portraits, we’d refer to bundle No. 1 or No. 3 to better compliment portraiture. This bundle includes 9 color presets.

Bundle No. 3

Bundle No. 3 is perhaps our most subtle, versatile collection of presets between the 3 bundles that we offer in our shop. We developed this set of 10 presets throughout 2020 + 2021, during afternoons spent creating artwork in our apartment, on walks around parks, and on long road trips we eventually began to take up the east coast. Bundle No. 3 celebrates the simple joys in life offering gentle editing solutions that bring out the best in any photograph. We love the hints of pinks, faint warm vibes, and natural pops of green in this collection. There’s even a preset in Bundle No. 3 made specifically for editing images of artwork in a way that feels true-to-life.

Bundle No. 3 is our best collection for editing portraits, with graceful edits that accommodate a diverse range of skin tones. As with all of our presets, it’s also well suited for images around the home, lifestyle and travel photography.
