Sunset Beach Photo Series

My little sister and I made these images together earlier this month. It’s wild how they now feel as though they were taken in another year altogether.

The two of us went with Jesús to watch the sunset, on a secluded and calm section of our favorite beach, and ran down along the edges of the chilly waves taking pictures, and spinning in the wind. I was feeling excited about my new hat, and pretty in my flowy dress.

Even though so there’s been so much stress and uncertainty going on in our world since that day, I’m still searching for hope and looking for ways to create beauty through all this mess.
Looking at these images makes me feel a new sense of value and appreciation for simple, carefree, creative moments - so I wanted to share the series with you.

Florida is closing all beaches today in response to COVID-19, which is a long overdue response to this global crisis. Even though I’ll miss trips like these, I look forward to enjoying them in a later, and safer time. I know they’ll be there waiting for us to enjoy again.

Wishing you peace and health,
Anna
