A Weekend at the A-Frame Chalet in Ellijay, GA

A-Frame Chalet in Ellijay x Chez Nunez

At the end of February, Jesús and I had the honor of collaborating with the hosts of an incredible A-Frame Airbnb in the mountains of Northern Georgia! In the process, the two of us were able to enjoy a relaxing and romantic getaway weekend together as we documented our stay in this space. During our 4 night visit, we had a really lovely time hanging out around Roanna and Thomas’s spacious 3 bed/3 bath cabin - just cooking, drawing, watching movies, working on music, and soaking in the incredible view from the living room (scroll down for that beauty).

Our trip came at the perfect timing, after a bit of stressful month behind us, so we were thankful for the way that the A-Frame held such a sense of calm, and sent us home feeling refreshed.

The cabin itself was incredibly clean and cozy, with beautifully designed rooms and super thoughtful amenities - like firewood, a fully stoked tea+coffee bar, and a lil Alexa (through which we played music all weekend long). The neighborhood felt so safe, quiet, and well located to the town nearby with several things to do in a 30–60 minute radius - like hiking around Amicalola Falls State Park (which was so fun). I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend booking your own trip to Roanna and Thomas’s A-Frame Chalet in Ellijay, GA!

We loved spending time in this living room, with the sound of a little crackling fire on most afternoons.

Roanna’s little coffee and tea bar was made from the stove that her father used to cook for her on as a child.

The downstairs floor was another stunning home of it’s own - with a beautiful and cozy living room, record player corner, dining area, master bed + bath, and a laundry room!

If only the weather was just a touch warmer, we would have been out on this porch nonstop throughout our stay.

When we needed to get out of the cabin, we loved driving through Ellijay to stop at little antique stores and go for neighboring hikes.
